Why is the Desert Mountain Golf Membership Called “Deferred Equity Golf Membership” DEGM?

Desert Mountain Golf Club Memberships are referred to as Deferred Equity Memberships (also called DEGM) because the members do not own the club assets yet. The control and ownership of the assets of the Desert Mountain Golf Club will be transferred to the members in a year. The date of the transfer is yet to be finalized but should occur in January 2011. Until the members own the club, the memberships are called Deferred Equity Memberships. Once the members own the assets the memberships will become Equity Memberships.
