Why is the Desert Mountain Golf Membership Called a Deferred Equity Membership?

This is one of the most often asked questions about the Desert Mountain Golf Memberships. The Desert Mountain golf membership is often referred to as the DEGM which stands for Deferred Equity Golf Membership. The equity portion of the membership is deferred because the members do not own the assets of the club yet. The assets, management and control of the golf club will be turned over to the members after December 31, 2010. Once this occurs, the members will each own a portion of the club assets.
