Where to Park for the Schwab Cup at Desert Mountain

The 2012 Schwab Cup is bound to be one of the most attended events of the golfing season in Scottsdale Arizona. The Champions Tour holds the Schwab Cup annually as its final event of the season, and it is comprised of the top 30 golfers in the tour.

This year’s event will be held from October 31st, through November 4th, and is located at the gorgeous Desert Mountain Club in Scottsdale, Arizona. The Cochise Course, which is one of the 6 courses at Desert Mountain, designed by championship golfer Jack Nicklaus, will be the challenge for this year’s competitors.

Parking for the event will be free, and there will be shuttle services provided to help make sure each spectator gets to the gate in time to see their favorite golfers tee off. The general parking area will be at the Sky Ranch Airport, and tournament shuttles will run continuously throughout the day, in order to be sure everyone has adequate transportation to and from the event.

The times for the shuttles vary for each day of the event, and we have included the schedule below:

Wednesday: 7:30am – 5:30pm
Thursday: 8:00am – 6:00pm
Friday: 8:30am – 6:00pm
Saturday: 8:30am – 6:00pm
Sunday: 8:30am – 6:00pm

Another point to note is that Desert Mountain’s Cochise Course will be closed to the public on Monday and Tuesday, which are October 29th and 30th, and parking at the Sky Ranch Airport will not be permitted on those two days. There is also special services available for those attendees who may suffer from physical handicaps or ailments. These services may be requested upon entering the main gate of the tournament.
