The Renegade golf course at Desert Mountain will be renovated as part of the Parcel 19 new home development. These are the top 3 things to know about the changes:
- There will be NO assessment for the work and enhancements at Renegade. The budget for the work will be funded largely with the proceeds from the sale of Parcel 19 and cash on hand at the Club.
- The new cool season turf will add 40-45 days of member play each year. The course will avoid the brown grass, over-seeding and awkward transition periods.
- The replacement of the 31 year old irrigation system, bunkers and greens will save water and save $500,000 per year.
Members will be voting on the project February 1st-15th.
Desert Mountain members are certainly benefiting from the influx of cash from the sale of Parcel 19 in their community. In comparison, Desert Highlands members are being assessed $8700 each in March (or $100/month for 120 months) for an irrigation and bunker renovation at their club.
