Desert Mountain will host the 101st Annual Southwestern Amateur Golf Tournament on the Cochise and Geronimo courses on June 13th-18th.
The Southwestern Amateur Golf Tournament is one of the longest running regional amateur tournaments in the western United States and features some of the nation’s top players. Previous winners of the event include past and present PGA Tour stars including Nick Watney, Ryan Palmer, and Jim Carter. For this year’s event, there are 156 participants.
Tournament organizers are looking for members to host a tournament player in their home for the duration of the event. If you are interested in hosting one of the players while they compete, you can contact the club for more information on how to volunteer your homes.
Members are also encouraged to volunteer for the event. It is a great way to help out and have some fun during the tournament.
