How to Decide Which Golf Club is Right for You

Scottsdale has a wide variety of golf courses to choose from. It is truly a golf-lovers dream with 51 golf courses in Scottsdale, and 41 within a 10-mile radius of North Scottsdale. Of those golf courses, there are several high-end private golf clubs for those who seek an elevated experience. The question thus becomes – how do you select the golf club that would be right for you?

All of the clubs in Scottsdale are amazing, but in different ways, with different cultures and amenities. My job is to help you determine which club is best for your lifestyle.  I discuss with each client the lifestyle that they are looking for. There is often a big difference between what clients “had” at their previous club, versus what they “want to have” in a Scottsdale club. For example, if a client was previously in a family-oriented club while their children were young, that may be entirely different from the type of club and lifestyle that they want during retirement.

I never rush the process of selecting a club. I want the club to match the clients’ expectations because a club membership is usually a long term marriage between the member and club. For some clients, finding the right club is the primary consideration. Other clients are very specific about the type of home that they want and finding the right home is paramount, with more flexibility about club amenities. I am often asked about which clubs are the easiest to meet other members and make friends with people similar to themselves.
