CARE Week at Desert Mountain

CARE week is quickly approaching for Desert Mountain members. CARE stands for Cancer Awareness through Research and Education. This nonprofit organization has been a part of Desert Mountain since 1998. The mission is to raise awareness about breast and prostate cancer research and education. They have teamed up with the Mayo Clinic’s Research Center and have raised over $2.5 million.

The festivities begin this Monday, March 15th, with the annual golf tournament and the 2nd annual Pro/Am tournament. Each game will have a shotgun start at noon and will be held simultaneously on three of the Desert Mountain Jack Nicklaus Golf Courses.  Immediately following there will be an awards ceremony at the Cochise/Geronimo Clubhouse. Get your friends together and bring out your foursome to take part in this very enjoyable charitable event.

The second day is dedicated to the ladies of Desert Mountain. There will be a Ladies’ Luncheon and Boutique. The boutique will be from 10AM to 4PM and lunch will be served at noon. Enjoy a delicious lunch and special guest speaker, Dr. Connie Mariano, who is a personal physician to four U.S. Presidents. Make it a girls day out with lots of shopping, food, and a reverse raffle with great prizes.

Wednesday will be the final day with two great events to attend. During the day, the annual Mary Henderson Bridge & Mah Jong tournament will be held from 9AM to 12PM at the Sonoran Clubhouse. This event is in honor of the CARE foundation founder. Later that night the closing gala will begin at 6PM at the Cochise/Geronimo Clubhouse. Get dressed up in your finest cocktail attire and attend the grand finale for great food, drinks and dancing.
