The Desert Mountain real estate market saw some slowing in the third quarter. It is not that uncommon to see slowing in the summer months in Arizona. Many Desert Mountain residents are from out of state and prefer to visit Scottsdale when the weather starts to cool off. We have already seen a huge increase in home buying traffic just since October 1st.
Between July and September, 14 Desert Mountain Homes sold. Four of these sales were foreclosures or bank owned homes. There were no short sale transactions closed this last quarter. Below you will find the most expensive homes with and without a full golf membership (DEGM) as well as the least expensive homes with and without a membership.
Most Expensive Home Sold WITH Golf Membership: Apache Peak Reserve 98, List Price $4,495,000, Sales Price $4,425,000 with Deferred Equity Golf Membership (DEGM), 8929 square-feet ($495.58/sq ft)
Most Expensive Home Sold WITHOUT Golf Membership: Apache Peak 7, List Price $1,595,000, Sales Price $1,200,000 No Membership, 3961 square-feet ($302.95/sq ft)
Least Expensive Home Sold WITH Golf Membership: Apache Cottages 33, List Price $650,000, Sales Price $650,000 with Deferred Equity Golf Membership (DEGM), 2476 square-feet ($262.52/ sq ft)
Least Expensive Home Sold WITHOUT Golf Membership: Sunrise 328, List Price $839,000, Sales Price $550,000 No Membership, 3022 square-feet ($182./sq ft)
Although the number of sales were down this quarter, we did see an increase in price compared to last quarter. Visit our Sales Updates blog page to view the monthly and quarterly trends that we have seen this year in this luxury home community.
