Desert Mountain Reacts Swiftly to Allegations of Impropriety in Election

Desert Mountain reacts swiftly to allegations of impropriety in elections. Recently a Desert Mountain member made allegations that there was impropriety in the June Advisory Board elections. This particular member sent emails to the President of the Club, Advisory Board and several members alleging that the Club President, Bob Jones, had recruited a personal friend to run for the Advisory Board.

The disgruntled member thought it was improper for the President to attempt to stack the Advisory Board with friends. Desert Mountain took this allegation very seriously. They hired outside counsel to do a full investigation and submit a report regarding the election. The attorney interviewed several members and all those involved. His report was just released on Tuesday. He found no evidence of a “substantially close relationship” between the men on a social or business basis. There was no evidence that the Advisory Board member was recruited in any manner.
