On this Day in 1996 Jack Nicklaus won the Senior PGA Tour The Tradition in Desert Mountain. The Tradition was held annually on the Cochise Course in Desert Mountain for many years. Jack was the first Senior PGA player to claim the same tournament four times. He won a $150,000 prize in 1996.
Everyone in Desert Mountain is looking forward to the return of the PGA to Cochise. Desert Mountain will host the 2012 Charles Schwab Cup this October. Tickets are currently on sale for the event.
