When Desert Mountain members saw the destruction that Hurricane Harvey caused to Houston, they quickly sprang into action. Within 24 hours, “Clubs Helping Clubs” was created by the staff and members of Desert Mountain, DC Ranch, Silverleaf, Mirabel, Arizona Country Club, Phoenix Country Club, Desert Highlands, Estancia, Paradise Valley Country Club, Forrest Highlands and Terravita. Their goal was to help the employees of Houston area clubs. Members created donation centers, sent email blasts and made trips to Costco to to purchase supplies. Two Desert Mountain staff members delivered more than 200 boxes of supplies to help the club employees near Houston that had homes destroyed by the flooding. Donations included water, clothing, food and clean-up supplies.
It’s nice to know that Desert Mountain members are looking out for the staff at other clubs.
