Some of the most popular trends in Scottsdale luxury homes include:

• His and her offices are extremely popular right now. It’s no longer a world where only the husband works.
• Oversized 4-6 car garages can be a hot button with many buyers.
• Master suites with 2 separate his and her bathrooms – this is the ultimate luxury that sweeps home buyers off their feet.
• Multiple family rooms or sitting areas. One is generally for adults and the other for the children. Each group gets their own space for lounging, reading, watching TV or playing video games.
• Bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms are a must for today’s luxury buyer. “Jack and Jill” suites that have 2 bedrooms sharing an adjoining bathroom are typically frowned upon.

The trends that are definitely a thing of the past include:

• Tennis courts – not as popular of a sport these days
• An excessive amount of square footage. More buyers want “small and special”.

Today’s luxury homes reflect a trend towards a smaller square footage, but built to a higher standard with fabulous amenities.
