After a lot of discussion, the Desert Mountain HOA has decided to update their CC&Rs. The current CC&Rs are over 20 years old and most of the items do not pertain to the community today. Members of the Desert Mountain Club voted on this matter and over 1,300 of the votes were in favor of the change. Only 11 members were in favor of keeping the outdated bylaws and CC&R’s in place.
Desert Mountain hopes that these new CC&Rs will help the community comply with today’s HOA laws as well as help homeowners have more of a say in how things operate. This will help the club run more efficiently because a lot of the questionable information has been removed.
In addition to the updated HOA guidelines, the Desert Mountain members have also voted to amend the design review guidelines. The two major changes that have been made to design review is that ALL exterior changes MUST be approved and homeowners now have the right to appeal design review decisions.
