Desert Mountain 2016 Highlights

2016 was a great year for Desert Mountain Club. In addition to being ranked among the top 10 private clubs in the country, they were awarded the Platinum Clubs of America 5-star award for 2016-2018. If that wasn’t enough, additionally, it was crowned Boardroom Magazine’s Distinguished Emerald Club of the World. So when I refer to Desert Mountain as ‘award-winning”, I’m not exaggerating.

I believe the most highly anticipated accomplishment of 2016 was the newly completed 12-million- dollar renovation project to the Sonoran Fitness Center and Spa, as well as the new Café Verde. It was completed on time and on budget. The club recently celebrated with the grand opening and based on initial feedback, it exceeded expectations.

Also in 2016, Desert Mountain Golf hosted another successful Charles Schwab Cup Championship. As part of the sponsorship, the club was able to run several commercials on the Golf Channel. This was an amazing opportunity for the club to gain some positive exposure.

Thanks to the wonderful members the club raised a significant amount of money in 2016 and gave back to some great charities, further helping to serve our community. The members were very generous in supporting and participating in these worthy charitable tournaments held at The Club: CARE, Youth Angels, Ronald McDonald House, Marine Corp Law Enforcement and Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
