Update on the Desert Highlands Club Renovation

Desert Highlands Club is currently undergoing a $9.8 million restoration of its Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course. The club prefers the term restoration over renovation, as they aim to preserve Jack Nicklaus’ original vision while enhancing playability with modern features. The greens have been transitioned from Bermuda grass to Bent grass. Additionally, the bunkers are being redesigned to be smaller, and the greens will be enlarged. The golf course is anticipated to reopen in 8-10 weeks.

The Women’s Locker Room has been undergoing renovation for the past 6 months. It is being revitalized and modernized to provide greater comfort and elegance. New food and beverage options will also be introduced. This facility is set to open concurrently with the golf course. Furthermore, the Golf Shop is also being renovated to incorporate modern aesthetics for an improved golfing experience.

Desert Highlands has consistently been updating and modernizing the club over the past several years to enhance the overall experience for members. The Racket Club received a beautiful renovation last summer. The renovation of the Men’s Locker Room is next on the agenda, with plans currently under design review. There are also discussions regarding updates to the halfway house and comfort stations located on the course.
