Charles Schwab Cup Announces Its Return to Desert Mountain for 2014 & 2016

Desert Mountain will be hosting the Charles Schwab Cup Championship once again in 2014 and 2016. The tourney will be played on Desert Mountain’s Cochise Course, one of six courses within the site, designed by famed golfer Jack Nicklaus.

Desert Mountain was home to the Charles Schwab Cup Championship in 2012.

The top 30 golfers on the Champions Tour money list are eligible to participate in the event at the end of the season.

Tom Lehman, the winner of 2012’s Charles Schwab Cup Championship at Desert Mountain is looking forward to the tournament’s return to Arizona stating, “I am thrilled that the Champions Tour and Charles Schwab Cup Championship are returning to Desert Mountain.  For a number of reasons it has always been a special place for me and I look forward to competing in 2014.”
