Camelot Homes is the New Builder at The Retreat in Desert Mountain

Camelot Homes was just announced as the new builder for the next phase of The Retreat condos at Seven in Desert Mountain. Family Development built the first 4 buildings, for a total of 20 units. Camelot Homes has now taken over the project and will build the remaining 5 buildings or 25 units. Camelot is also the builder of the Villas at Seven, so this is just an expansion of their current activity in Seven. The reason for the change is purported to be the escalating price of land. Family Development had an option to purchase the land for the next phase however the price was higher than they were willing to pay. Camelot purchased the land instead and has increased pricing of the condos as a result.

Camelot is now in the on-site sales office and all future sales will be through them. Camelot will offer the same three floor plans as prior, with a few minor adjustments. They are expected to issue their public report soon, which is necessary in Arizona before any further sales can occur. There is a lengthy list of interested buyers for the next phase. Sales are expected to begin for buildings 4 and 7 in mid-March. Prices have not been set but will likely start in the $1,500,000-1,800,000 range.
