2026 Update on Desert Mountain Membership Waitlist

Membership to the Desert Mountain Club is highly sought after. The club maintains a lengthy waitlist of prospective members. There are currently 80 applicants on the waitlist, which translates to approximately 3.5 – 4 years for a membership. To secure a spot on the waitlist, applicants must complete the full membership application process, undergo vetting and approval by the Board of Directors, and submit a $50,000 deposit. The deposit will be applied to the cost of the membership.

Last year there were approximately 20 openings for membership at Desert Mountain. Given that the total membership is 2050 members, this represent a very small fraction of members who relinquish their membership each year. Generally members are very happy at Desert Mountain and only give up their membership in extreme circumstances such as illness, death or divorce.
