Last month the Desert Mountain Club announced that after receiving multiple offers for their vacant Parcel 19, they had accepted an offer from Meritage Homes of Arizona. The club entered into a purchase and sale agreement as of November 2013 but there is still a long road ahead before the deal can close. They are estimating a closing date sometime in the first quarter of 2015.
The proposed purchase price of Parcel 19 is $21 Million. In addition to this, Desert Mountain Club will receive 50% of any lot premiums received by Meritage. Desert Mountain will in turn include 80 Equity Golf Memberships as part of the sale. Of course, any potential members must still be approved by the Desert Mountain Club.
A townhall meeting for members only will be held this Friday, March 14th at 4pm. Members may attend in person on the Sunset Terrace of the Cochice/Geronimo Clubhouse or by phone. This will give the Desert Mountain members a chance to ask questions and obtain important details before they cast their votes on this sale.
