Golf Croquet is extremely popular at Desert Mountain. This is not your typical backyard croquet game. It is played as a team sport of 4 players and is a big social activity at Desert Mountain. Golfers particularly enjoy it because it is a smooth stroke from the shoulders, similar to golf, but not as difficult. It is a great way to meet new people at the club. Skill levels range from from beginners to advanced competitive players.

The club offers Croquet 101 Clinics to introduce people to the game. The clinics are held once a month and teach the basics. You will learn proper swing techniques, rules of the game and strategies. After you complete the 101 Clinic, join in the fun at the beginner drop-in every other Friday. Players can meet other members at a similar level and refine their techniques. There is also drop-in play 3 times per week for all skill levels. The more advanced players have a competitive drop-in once per week. Some of the advanced players take it very seriously with all white outfits and imported croquet clubs. It is fun to enjoy a cocktail outdoors while watching them play.
