The sixth and final course at Desert Mountain, Outlaw opened in late 2003, and is located on a 176-acre site adjacent to the Tonto National Forest.
Jack Nicklaus took advantage of the many subtle terrain features, including native washes, gently rolling hills and many spectacular views.
Nicklaus' goal: "to take what nature gave us and try to enhance it".
Different from the style of the other five Nicklaus layouts at Desert Mountain, Outlaw plays more in the tradition of a Scottish links course.
Bring your ground game, as this course asks you to hit a variety of high, low and bump-and-run shots.
And as a backdrop, Outlaw provides striking views of Pinnacle Peak, the McDowell Mountains and Four Peaks.
