Frequently asked Questions about the Food & Beverage Minimum
1. Do I have to meet a portion of the minimum each month?
Answer: No. It is an annual minimum and each membership will have until December 31 each year to meet the minimum. In 2009, the minimum is prorated since the time period for meeting the minimum is from March 1, 2009 through December 31, 2009.
2. When will I be billed for any food and beverage minimum charge I owe?
Answer: Any membership not having met the minimum as of December 31, will be charged for the portion of the minimum not met during the prior year in the January Member invoice. During the year in which the minimum must be met, a report of the amount of any remaining required minimum will be included in the Member's monthly statement for informational purposes but will not be a charge then due.
3. What charges will be credited to the food and beverage minimum requirement?
Answer: All food and beverages purchased at Club dining areas, restaurants or other food and beverage outlets, any Club catering food and beverage charges and any beverage cart charges will be counted toward meeting the minimum. Taxes or gratuities will not be credited toward the requirement. Fees for events, which include lunch, snacks or beverages (such as golf tournaments, special social events or meetings) will not be included. Food and beverage charges not included in the event fee charged to the Member's account during such event will be included in meeting the requirement.
4. Are alcohol purchases at the Club credited to the minimum requirement?
Answer: Alcohol purchased for consumption on the Club premises will be credited toward the minimum. Purchases from the retail wine store do not count toward the minimum.
5. Will my food and beverage purchases for January and February of 2009 be credited to my 2009 minimum requirement?
Answer: Purchases in January or February of 2009 will not be included in the minimum requirement since the minimum for 2009 was proportionally reduced to account for those two months.
6. If I have more than one Desert Mountain membership, will I be required to meet the minimum for each membership?
Answer: If you own more than one Desert Mountain membership, you will only be required to meet the minimum for the active membership. If any additional membership is activated, used or is authorized for use during the year, then such additional membership is subject to a minimum requirement being imposed.
7. If my guest uses a credit card in the restaurant, will this be applied to my minimum?
Answer: Yes, the food and beverage portion of the tickets will be applied and billed to your account, credited to your account and then billed through the guest's credit card.
