The best Scottsdale restaurants and shopping are just minutes away from Desert Mountain. Carefree and Scottsdale have many charming shops and restaurants. Ongoing development in the area also adds to the dining and shopping choices. Mancuso's, Ocean Club, Tommy Bahama's Restaurants are located at Kierland Commons 25 minutes away.

Art Galleries and Museums

Add to your collection or enjoy "window shopping" in the numerous art galleries featuring Native American or Southwestern art in Scottsdale, Cave Creek and Carefree. Many Desert Mountain Members use the resort to accommodate out of town guests. The Four Seasons Scottsdale Resort is also within 15 minutes. Both resorts are known for their southwestern flare. The grounds are covered with Saguaro cactus with amazing outcroppings of rocks and boulders.

Shopping

Large Shopping Centers in the area include Scottsdale 101, Kierland Commons and Scottsdale Fashion Square. These upscale shopping centers offer theaters, restaurants, cafes and some of the leading retailers from around the world including Chanel, Fendi, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Cartier etc. The valleys impressive freeway system make these shopping centers easily accessible within 30-45 minutes from Desert Mountain.

Health Care

Desert Mountain is conveniently located close to some of the finest medical facilities. The Mayo Hospital is located a mere 25 minutes away. Patients come from around the globe to receive medical treatment there. It is practically on our doorstep. It is an internationally known facility and has some of the finest medical professionals in the country. The brand new Scottsdale Healthcare Thompson Peak Hospital is also an award wining facility and it is only 20 minutes from Desert Mountain. Many specialists have offices in North Scottsdale and Carefree minutes from Desert Mountain.

Airports

The Scottsdale Municipal Airport is used for private aircraft. Many Desert Mountain Members will fly their private planes directly into the Scottsdale Airport for easy access to Desert Mountain. Members on the East Coast have a Facebook page to facilitate the sharing of private planes to Desert Mountain. Just another way that Members stick together and help each other out.

The Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is one of the largest airports in the country and has direct flights from all over the world. It is approximately 50 minutes from Desert Mountain and limousines can be arranged easily for transport to Desert Mountain.
