Many prospective buyers ask what the difference is between the Desert Mountain Deferred Equity Golf Membership (also known as DEGM) and the Deferred Equity Club Membership. There are two major differences, the golf privileges and the cost of each membership. I always advise my clients to review the bylaws and detailed descriptions of each membership so that they can choose the right membership to fit their lifestyle.
The DEGM allows for 2,375 memberships. This means that there is about 396 members per course at Desert Mountain. With this membership you will be able to access all six Jack Nicklaus courses with the highest priority in tee times. The cost of this membership is $325,000.
The Club Membership allows for 290 memberships. This membership will still allow for full access of all clubhouses, restaurants, tennis courts, pools, spa and fitness center. The golf is limited to 20 rounds per year (half of which must be during the summer). The cost of this membership is $100,000.
