Desert Mountain Now Offers a New Property Check Service

Desert Mountain is now offering a property check service to homeowners in the community. The new Desert Mountain Owner Services Business is being managed by the community association and will offer a property check service along with professional home inspections and light handyman work. Each of these services are for a minimal fee and are very convenient for Desert Mountain residents.

The home care service or property check service will send someone out to simply visit your home to ensure that everything is okay and being properly maintained while you are away. It can be very stressful trying to find someone that you trust to oversee things while you are gone but now your very own HOA will provide you with a very convenient check service. They will check to see that your landscaping and pool services are being kept up on as well as ensure that your trash bins are pulled away from the curb where they should be. They will also take a look around the inside and outside of the home to make sure that there is no storm damage or other items that need immediate attention. The cost of this service depends on the frequency that you would like your home tended to:

Weekly: $40 per visit
Bi-Weekly: $60 per visit
Monthly: $100 per visit
Quarterly: $200 per visit

The home inspection service will send a licensed home inspector out to do a thorough inspection of your home. They will check the electrical system of the home, heating, air conditioning, water pressure, etc. At the end of the inspection, a written report will be issued. Inspection costs depend on the size of your home:

Less than 3,000 sq-ft: $300
3,000 to 5,000 sq-ft: $450
5,000 + sq-ft: $550

Light handyman services include basic repairs around the home, interior paint touch ups, drywall repairs, adjusting doors, light electrical work, light carpentry, etc. It will be $50 per hour plus the cost of materials.

Other communities such as Desert Highlands have been offering these services or years now so it is good that Desert Mountain has decided to join in for the convenience of their residents.

US Marshalls Auctioning Off Seized Desert Mountain Land

There are two Desert Mountain AZ vacant lots being auctioned off by the U.S. Marshalls today, Monday September 26, 2011. This is a public auction held in the Juniper room at the Boulder Resort in Carefree at 5pm. You can either bid live at the auction or online.

One of the lots is located in the village of Gambel Quail and the other is located in Grey Fox.

The Desert Mountain luxury home trends seem to change on a regular basis. We find that each buyer expects different features and amenities when purchasing Desert Mountain Real Estate. These trends tend to change from year to year and from buyer to buyer. Luckily there is something to fit anyone’s taste in this great North Scottsdale community.

So far in 2011 we have found that the most popular trends include:

His and her offices are extremely popular right now. It’s no longer a world where only the husband works.
Many buyers enjoy owning multiple vehicles so 4-6 car garages are very important.
Master suite with 2 separate his and her bathrooms – this is the ultimate luxury that sweeps home buyers off their feet.
It is also very popular to have two separate family rooms. One is generally for adults and the other for the children. Each group gets their own space for lounging, reading, watching TV or playing video games.
Bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms are a must for today’s luxury buyer. “Jack and Jill” suites that have 2 bedrooms sharing an adjoining bathroom are typically frowned upon.

The trends that are definitely a thing of the past include:

Media rooms – buyers are realizing that the second family room suffices and is utilized more often
Tennis courts – not as popular of a sport these days
An excessive amount of square footage.
